Hillcrest Commons

Hillcrest Commons is a developing community initiative based in the heart of Little Rock’s Hillcrest neighborhood. Our aim is to foster connection, creativity, and community through shared space, inclusive programming, and collaborative possibilities.

Located in the historic building gifted by the congregation of Pulaski Heights Baptist Church, Hillcrest Commons exists thanks to their visionary act of generosity. The congregation—still active and worshiping on-site—entrusted this beloved neighborhood landmark to ensure its architectural legacy and community spirit live on.

As we move toward formal nonprofit status, Hillcrest Commons is already bringing people together for events, education, creative work, and civic engagement. We believe in the power of place—and in the potential of neighbors coming together to build something lasting.

Luther College Jazz Orchestra

Live at Hillcrest Commons

Friday, March 27, 2026 • 7:00 PM

An evening of electrifying live jazz arrives at Hillcrest Commons when the Luther College Jazz Orchestra stops in Little Rock during their spring tour.

Known on campus as the legendary “Superband,” the ensemble features some of Luther College’s most accomplished student musicians performing a wide-ranging program that celebrates the spirit of jazz.

Expect everything from classic big band swing to Brazilian samba rhythms to deep funk grooves, with music inspired by jazz icons like Duke Ellington and Count Basie.

Whether you're a longtime jazz lover or simply looking for a great night of live music in the neighborhood, this is a performance guaranteed to bring the room alive with musical energy.
